Join the Pin Ups Boffins as we take a break from trying to fix the Large Hadron Collider to provide an evening of elemental entertainment!

We’ve snared Angelos Epithemiou from Shooting Stars to come along with his wheels of steel to treat you to disco tracks and words of wisdom!  We're not quite sure what is going to happen but we are certain that Angelos's visit is going to provide us with some fairly legendary scenes. Check out everybody's favourite burger van proprietor turned DJ in action on the decks at Shooting Stars - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNZ1j2h-zsE

We've booked up B-Movie Junkies ( http://www.myspace.com/bmoviejunkies ), Paws ( http://www.myspace.com/pawspawspawspaws ) and Heart Beats ( http://www.myspace.com/weareheartbeats ) to play live. We're not for one second suggesting any of these bands are geeks, but, between the 3 of them there is enough knowledge of cult cinema, vintage synths, beards, wild behaviour and 80s guitar FX pedals to assure us that the Geek theme is going to be embraced with gusto!

We're going to turn the Flying Duck's Kitchen into The Lab, a haven of mathematical and scientific endeavour with a suitably inspiring soundtrack (think "Race for the Prize" (Flaming Lips), "In the Garage" (Weezer), "Through Being Cool" (Devo), "She Blinded Me With Science" (Thomas Dolby), something by We Are Scientists...requests are very welcome).  There will be Rubik's Cubes, copies of "A Brief History of Time", tasty calculus, smoking test tubes, and rumour has it that Captain James T Kirk Himself may even make an appearance!!

There will also be lots of other geeky treats and prizes for those who dress up in a geeky fashion and/or or can prove to us that they are studying a geeky course at Uni - matric cards will be inspected!

We hope Geek Night will be as much of a hit as last September's Circus ( http://www.pinup-nights.co.uk/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=46 ). If it's even half as a good as that then we are going to have a terrific night!

Advance tickets will be on sale from http://www.pinup-nights.co.uk and/or Tickets Scotland shortly.

Live Long and Prosper!
